About

Hey, my name is One Romeo Arnold, and people tell me I can feel others, that I have empathy. It has taken me years to fully process these comments — that it’s a gift and that I have to somehow use it to help others.

I didn’t graduate with a psychology degree, so I might’ve used that as an excuse not to think too much about it. “A law degree is not gonna cut it,” I might’ve told myself.

Now I realize, though, that for the most part, it’s not what common folks like you and me need. We don’t need all that extra “CPU capacity” to get a diagnosis (no offense to the profession, of course). No, we just need someone to listen. We want to be heard.

Everyone has a story, stuff that needs to be shared, and I’d like to be that ear. I want to know what you have to say … just say the word.

Anything goes, really — your crushes, grudges, and frustrations. I want to see you thrive, not merely survive. I know this offer might seem like a drop in the bucket, but what do you have to lose?

 Random questions answered:

Q: Your first crush? What was that like?

A: In elementary school there was this girl, my classmate, and she had the cutest ponytail ever. It was my biggest distraction during those years. I was mesmerized by it — how her brown hair moved along with her body. Saddest thing is, though, I never told her about this crush :-(

Q: How do you respond when someone cuts you off in traffic?

A: I’d silently flip them the bird? Haha … well, I guess it depends on the mood. I’m most definitely not aggressive. It’s best, of course, to send them a silent blessing of some sort, but I suppose I am not there yet spiritually.

Q: You ever felt the need to remove people from your life?

A: Yes, of course. You don’t want energy vampires in your life. It’s as simple as that. If people zap your energy, they gotta go. As Oprah put it, “Surround yourself only with people who are going to lift you higher.”

Did you know that?

  • I’m formally educated as a lawyer but never actually practiced law. Instead, I ventured out into the big world to teach and, whoa, to find my pot of gold.

  • I’ve always been a keen reader. In particular, I love WWII stories and anything related to self-improvement and relationships.

  • More than 20 years ago I suffered from a severe skin condition. I will spare you the details, but let’s just say that it was beyond traumatizing.

  • I’m colorblind but don’t have an issue with traffic lights.
